The Annamalai Trust was established in loving memory of the late Mr. V. A. Annamalai, the youngest son of Mr. Arunachala Chettiyar of Visha Mangalam village, on the occasion of his first death anniversary. This trust has been founded with a sincere commitment to support and promote innovation, learning, and research—particularly in the fields of science and mathematics. Through our initiatives, we aim to encourage young minds to explore, discover, and contribute meaningfully to these vital disciplines.
Perumal’s paternal grandfather, Mr. N. Arunchalam Chettiar, was a highly respected figure in the region, known for his honesty, traditional wisdom, and service to the community. His grandmother, Mrs. Muniyammal, lived an extraordinary life of 106 years—remaining active and independent till her final days without the need for walking sticks or medical support. Her longevity and strength became a source of inspiration for the family and community alike.
